A Look Into the Future: What Will the your mental health is more important than Industry Look Like in 10 Years?

All the stuff you think about in the morning, the way you eat for lunch, the way you drive home after work, the way you doodle on your laptop in class. It is easy to feel like you have no control over your mind, but that is just as irrational as the idea that you have no control over your thoughts.

It’s so easy to think that way, because our thoughts are so tightly woven into our brain, that we don’t even realize that we’re thinking. We’re thinking about our loved ones, the kids we have to drive to school, your dreams, our career, the way we look. We think that no matter what we do we’re going to be okay, because we are our own worst enemies. That’s not the case at all.

We think that because we are in control of our thoughts that we are in control of our lives. Sure, you might be in control of your brain, but your mind is still your own. I think most of us spend most of our waking hours being led on a leash, or being told how to think.

I think this is true for most of us.

This is one of the most popular quotes I’ve written, and it’s one that I hear a lot, so I thought I’d share it here.

One of the most popular quotes in my blog is this: “When you are not in control of your thoughts, you are in control of your actions.” We live in a culture where we are constantly directed to think, to be active, to be on our computers, to be involved, to be a hero, to be a villain. We are the result of an all-consuming, all-over-the-place, non-linear media environment.

The problem is, this environment is so powerful, so pervasive, so omnipresent, that many of us are not even aware of it. We are unaware of our bodies, of our feelings, of being controlled by a culture, of being in charge of our own lives. We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with messages about what our bodies should look like or what our beliefs should be.

To be a hero, to be a villain. We are the result of a media environment that is so powerful, so pervasive, so omnipresent, that many of us are not even aware of it. We are unaware of our bodies, of our feelings, of being controlled by a culture, of being in charge of our own lives. We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with messages about what our bodies should look like or what our beliefs should be.

How much mental health does it take for one to start acting on those messages? The answer may depend on the culture. For example, in Japan, it takes five years for a man to leave his house for the first time after hearing a message about how women are to be taken care of. He’s also required to make a public apology over the phone. In the United States, the average person takes ten years to change their beliefs.

With the rise of the internet, many people are now able to receive messages in cyberspace that can cause them to act out in real life. This creates a need for the mental health community to educate people, and to help them cope with the messages they’re receiving. However, because of the way that our culture has changed, we are also losing a part of our own messages.
