As a child I recall that my mother had a small wave crib that I would climb onto. She said it was so I could sleep better. Once I found out that it was actually a crib that had a built-in wave, I knew it was destined for my head. I started climbing on the crib, and I never moved an inch until high school.

The wave crib has proved to be a surprisingly useful toy. I can often feel it rippling as I climb on, turning the crib into a floating, bouncy mattress. I just have to be careful not to fall over and break the crib.
