The concept of nature is one that is hard to wrap our brains around. We tend to make our lives in a lot of different directions and as such it doesn’t seem as though we can ever really take enough time to get a full picture of it. With that being said, if we can take a picture, we can take a picture of it.

Because there are a lot of different types of environments in Deathloop, it makes sense to take the time to create a variety of different styles, like how we did on our last game, The Division.
It helps that the developers have done a lot of work to make Deathloop as immersive as possible. Even with the game’s huge size, which is due to being a time-looping stealth game, the team has managed to make the game feel as if it were much smaller because we can simply walk around and take a look at things.
The reason why it feels smaller is because we’re not making a massive environment. We’re not trying to fight an oncoming horde of zombies. We’re aiming to create an environment that’s comfortable and inviting for our characters to explore and interact with.
Because we are a time-looping stealth-action game, we can walk around the game world, and as we walk around we can look at things, and as we look at things we can interact with them. The main reason why we make the game smaller is because we think it is important for our player to feel as if they are actually a part of the game world.
