The most famous of all quasars, (the mysterious supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy) is a celestial object that astronomers are studying with telescopes around the world. It is thought to be about 100 million light years away, and yet it is so very close. It is an object that we have been studying for as long as we have been able to take measurements of it.

The supermassive black holes in our galaxy are the most powerful objects in the universe. They are so massive that their gravity holds most of the stars and gas in the Milky Way galaxy together. Since the Milky Way and all of its galaxies are so close, they are bound together and will eventually become so massive that even the most powerful telescopes cannot see them.

The truth is, we’re not supposed to be trying to actually see a black hole, but we just have to hope that it’s there.
