The word “nephrectomy” comes from the Greek word “nephro” for “kidney.” Nephrectomy is the removal of the kidney (kidneys) that has been removed from the body.
The word is sometimes used to describe the removal of blood clots from the kidney. That’s what’s going on in nephrectomy. It’s also been used as a synonym for kidney removal.
Thats why I’m going to be using nephrectomy as a medical term: to make it clear that this is happening to my body.
It can also be used as a synonym for kidney removal. nephrectomy is not a medical term though and that’s the reason I had to use it here. I just assumed that it was a medical term for what I was describing.
The nephrectomy is a surgical procedure that removes a diseased or damaged kidney.
The word nephrectomy is not a medical term. It’s just a word that means to remove a kidney. It’s not a medical term because it doesn’t refer to a medical procedure or treatment, and it’s not a medical term because it doesn’t refer to a diseased kidney.
So this probably came up because I used kidney removal in my title, but I find it so much more interesting than my previous post. I am not suggesting that kidney removal is a medical procedure, and the fact that a medical term for it is nephrectomy doesn’t change that. But nephrectomy is a surgical procedure, and a surgical procedure is a medical procedure.
You could argue that kidney removal is a surgical procedure (which makes it a medical procedure) because of the removal of a portion of the kidney. But if you remove a portion of a kidney, then you have to remove a portion of the kidney, which is a surgical procedure.
The fact that a medical term for it is the nephrectomy, does not change the fact that it is a medical procedure.
Yeah, and I bet that is the first thing that comes to mind when you see the term nephrectomy on a Google search. Well, no it isn’t. It’s not a medical term so it’s not really a medical procedure. It’s an anatomical term that denotes a surgical procedure.
