I have been a clinical psychologist for years. For fun I had been asked to give a talk to a group of grad students. I had no idea what to talk about, so I started by saying I had no idea what I was talking about. I spent hours going over my notes and talking about everything from psychology to history to art. I even wrote and talked about myself in the margins of my notes.
I can’t remember what was the most interesting thing I talked about, but from the audience’s reactions I hope it was the psychology of the concept of ‘grad cafe.’ Grad Cafe is a place where psychology students come together to learn what they can learn from each other in order to be better psychotherapists and better therapists.
The psychology of grad cafe is an interesting one because it is an attempt to teach psychology students about themselves. I think it is a great concept that psychology students should try to get a better understanding of themselves and their own psychology. However, I also think that the psychology of the concept is a bit of a stretch. Grad cafe is not a place where you sit around and discuss your own psychology. It is a place where you sit around and discuss your psychology.
So what does that mean? It means that psychology students should try to get a better understanding of themselves as a person. This may not be the same as a good therapist. A good therapist is someone that you feel like you are talking to. That is their job. That is what they do. That is what they are supposed to do. Even a good therapist can make mistakes, but a good therapist is not supposed to make mistakes, unless it is to try to help you fix them.
While psychologists are not supposed to make mistakes, a good therapist does. This is because psychologists are supposed to get to know their clients – that is to become a better person in their own right. A psychologist is not supposed to fix you, but instead a psychologist is supposed to be a friend to you. A good therapist will be there to listen, to help you with your questions and concerns, to see you through your pain, to make you feel better as you move through your day.
The one area where psychotherapy can go wrong is in the realm of fixing you. The people we have seen who have been psychotherapists over the years have all been very good at getting to know their clients. But the problem is that psychotherapy is a business. Psychotherapy can be done in a vacuum, but it can also be done with the help of a good therapist.
The problem is that the problems we have with psychotherapy are often related to the personality factors that make us feel bad. Psychotherapy is a conversation between two people who are trying to work things out. But if one of them is a bad therapist, then the conversation will be a terrible one for the other. And that’s why we need to choose our therapists wisely.
The problem with psychotherapy is that we have different personalities. For instance, you might be someone who doesn’t like talking about feelings, even though the feelings you’re having are very real and very important. And you might be someone who’s very introverted, and then someone who’s very extroverted. And so on. It’s a messy conversation because our personalities are different and we can’t always agree on what the issue is.
The problem with psychology is that we don’t always agree on the issues. We may think that youre a very weird person who thinks that psychotherapy is a waste of time, or an absolute scam. We may think that youre a very depressed person who can be cured with therapy. We may think that youre a very happy person who is depressed. And so on. A lot of psychotherapy is based on the assumption that this is the case.
A lot of psychological treatments are based on the assumption that people with certain personality traits are likely to be in a certain mood or have a certain personality. Our personality is certainly not one of those traits. It’s the same with our cognitive biases — if we think that people with certain personality traits are more likely to be in a certain mood, then we don’t really have a strong evidence base for our assumptions.
