I have been making these glorious tomatoes for as long as I can remember. I got them from my mother, a friend, and a neighbor who grew them on their own backyard patch of fields. I would often boil my tomatoes in a small pot on the stove before freezing them, so they are always ready to eat. The best part is that they are so easy to make.
I am not quite sure why I love them so much. Sure all the other recipes have all been great, but I feel like I have something special to add to the mix.
