“It’s been a long, tiring summer. But so far, I’m okay with it.
Well, a lot of people say that. One of the reasons we’re able to be able to be here is because of the fact that we can just live, breathe, drink, and work. It’s not such a great thing to be able to just be a person, but it’s not such a terrible thing either.
It can be a bit demoralizing going from being a person to being a machine. But it can also be liberating. You can actually take care of your own bodies, your own needs. Instead of worrying about getting food, housing, or medical care, you just worry about having enough money to buy a new bike. Or having enough money to get a new job.
And that’s not all: A lot of companies that cater to people that are unable to use their legs are hiring those that have their limbs amputated. This, in turn, has led to some bizarre hiring practices: Some companies will hire people with legs and give them the jobs, while others will actually remove the limbs from the bodies of their employees.
This is not just a problem for companies that operate in the world of the disabled. It’s a problem whether you’re disabled or not. And there are actually some organizations that have an anti-disability policy. But the problem is that there are a lot of companies that have no such policy.
If you’re going to have a company that doesn’t have a policy about hiring people with legs, you might as well have one that is willing to hire people with arms. Because in the end, that’s all a person with legs is. A person. And it’s not the same.
I would be willing to bet that a number of companies (not all, of course) don’t really care about the disabled. They care about their shareholders, and they care about the executives. But disabled people are another story. They are a special case. Because if youre disabled, and you have a family, and you live in a wheelchair, you are a special case. So companies don’t really care.

So how do we know that a disabled person is not taking advantage of the system? Because they have a very strong set of needs.
